RESTAURANTS

Anchor 1

Home of the best filet I have had in The Woodlands. Del Frisco's not only has fine food, but the best customer service you can find in the area. The staff is highly educated, prompt, and exceptional with their guests. With a date, I would expect a final price tag of $200 depending on your wine selection. The bar area is perfect for lounging while the dining room(s) offer a more elegant dining experience. Del Frisco's currently boasts the best patio in all of Hughes Landing's Restaurant Row.

Perry’s Steakhouse in The Woodlands has become a trendy spot for many business professionals in the area. The famous Perry’s Pork Chop is the talk of the restaurant. It takes five days of preparation for the final masterpiece. This process involves drying, curing, and roasting in pecan wood for seven to eight hours. And the aromas that come off the plate are just heavenly. You can find the best lunch special in The Woodlands here at Perry’s where they offer the 5 inch thick pork chop for only $11.95 on Friday’s only!

Upon the $65 million in renovations The Woodlands Resort and Country Club recently underwent, Robard’s Steakhouse was added to the lineup by the Howard Hughes Corporation. Named after Howard Hughes himself (Robard is the tycoon’s middle name), this new addition is fit for a King. I am VERY impressed with the menu Robard’s boasts. A must try as an appetizer would be the candied bacon. Recomendation: Add vanilla ice cream to enjoy as a dessert!

Via Emilia Italian Restaurant
Indian Springs Village Center
10700 Kuykendahl Road
The Woodlands, TX 77381

From the outside of this family owned and operated establishment, you would never guess what you’re about to walk into. Not only is the interior one of elegance, but the atmosphere here makes it very difficult to leave. I found a love for the staff for their caring nature and desire to make your experience even more memorable. The bar area is quite large but fills up quickly on the weekend. Check out their Wine Wednesday Special – Half off all Italian wine bottles.

1252 holds a special place in my heart because it was on their patio when I decided to relocate myself and my business to The Woodlands. Boasting the best patio at Market Street, 1252 is perfect for people watching on a gorgeous sunny day. You will find that 1252 can be the home of many atmospheres for you. If you're a food critic, enjoy the vast array of Spanish tapas offered on the menu. If you love some late night fun, you can enjoy one of the best Dj’s in the area on Thursday and Saturday nights. Above all, what makes it my favorite spot is the staff, hands down. Since 2010 the staff has always made me feel like a friend, not just a customer. Cheers.

The Refuge has a subtly splendid style, one that echoes an earlier time period. Its dark wood, ornate ceiling, mahogany bar, and intimate ambiance provide the change of scenery you're looking for after a long week. Known for its specialty drinks, you'll also want to experience the creatuive menu options here. You will find an elegance in all areas of this establishment. Partnering to have your own exclusive event here is a breeze. The staff presents a very classy venue, with the perfect touch of creativity and a unique atmosphere. With live music on the weekends, it is the perfect starting place for your evening out.

Local Pour

The latest hot spot in The Woodlands is located in the exciting new Hughes Landing development. With live music from Wed-Sat and an outside patio overlooking Lake Woodlands, Local Pour is well-equipped to provide a great experience for all customers. You will be surprised with the amount of space inside upon walking in. The patio makes for a perfect lunch or evening visit, and the menu here boasts many options catering to customer’s tastes all across the board. Local Pour is known for their extensive draft beer selection. With over 35 draft beers to choose from, you will have to come back many times to try the unique selection provided here.

The Goose's Acre
21 Waterway Avenue
The Woodlands, TX 77380
www.TheGoosesAcre.com

Gooses Acre is a favorite of mine for its Sunday Brunch. Not only can you get a gourmet, buffet-style brunch for a great price on Sunday, enjoy 50 cent mimosas with this great special. Wait, there’s more bang for your buck with live acoustic music located on the Waterway-view patio until 3pm. What a great way to enjoy your Sunday afternoon with friends or family. Did I mention this Irish bistro and pub boasts happy hour prices all day long on Sunday as well? You won’t break the bank here and will have a phenomenal outside view that is either covered downstairs or uncovered upstairs providing numerous options for customers to select their atmosphere for the day.

WINE LIST

Anchor 3

Chateau Montelena

Cabernet Sauvignon - 1997

Amerigo’s Grill - $250

Chateau Montelena, if you didn't already know, is the vineyard that put Napa Valley on the map in the 70's. For wine enthusiasts who don't know this story, check out the movie Bottle Shock on Netflix. Great movie, and very cool to know the story behind the Napa Valley history. This was one of the finest wines I've enjoyed. Try it at Amerigo's Grill on a special occasion.

Marques de Murrietta

Rioja – 2008

Jasper’s Steakhouse - $60

If you love a good Rioja, Marques de Murrieta is a great find at Jasper's Steakhouse. Spanish wines are very hit and miss with me, but anytime I see this on a menu, I take advantage. With a $60 steakhouse price tag, I consider this a value buy. Try it out next time you visit Jasper's and tell me what you thought!

Shafer

Cabernet Sauvignon – 1997

Amerigo’s Grill - $190

In 2011, this 1997 Shafer Cabernet changed my world! Most wine enthusiasts remember the bottle that got them hooked on wine. This was mine. I had never tasted a wine so incredible in my life! I remember saying, "THIS is what great wine should taste like!" I still have the bottle on presentation at my home. Game Changer.

Justin

Cabernet Sauvignin – 2009

Bob’s Steak and Chop Shop - $55

Bob's Steak and Chop Shop is not only home of the best filet in The Woodlands, they also introduced me to this incredible value bottle of Justin Cabernet. It has been a hit at every dinner party I have hosted and does not break the bank. Pairs wonderfully with their 9oz filet also well priced at $39 with two sides. I strongly suggest trying this combination at Bob's in The Woodlands.
